The present municipal Council was elected in November, 2008, and consist of:

Council Meeting

Council meetings take place in the District Council Chambers at 7:00 pm on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. The public is welcome to attend and may ask questions towards the end of the meetings. Members of the public may also come to speak as a delegation at the beginning of the meeting by calling ahead to the District office. On occasion the public meeting may be followed by an In-Camera meeting that is closed to the public as it is dealing with issues relating to labour, land or law.

Municipal Elections are held every 3 years on the third Saturday in November.

Who is qualified to vote?

1. Canadian Citizens
2. 18 years by General Election Day
3. Residents of BC for six months
4. Residents of Hudson’s Hope for 30 days
   

• Submit a letter, e-mail or fax to Council.
Your comments will be sent to the appropriate department for either a report to Council or a direct response to you.

• If a report is required, the matter will be placed on the Committee of the Whole Agenda and you will be notified by phone abut the date of the meeting.

The 20' high concrete totems at each end of the Peace Canyon bridge were designed by world class sculptor, the late Gerhard Class (1924-1997).

Hudson's Hope has four municipal campgrounds and two privately owned RV parks within 24 km of the center of our town. Each offers their own unique qualities!
